Buenos días!

Porfin vamos adelantando con más proyectos en marcha. Esta vez queremos mostraros la restauración y personalización de una Orbea de varillas que nos ha dado más de un dolor de cabeza.

Ha sido un gran reto debido al gran proceso de limpieza y pulido de parte de sus piezas. También surgió un pequeño problema, una vez conseguimos quitar las diferentes capas de esmalte que habían utilizado para darle ese toque de safari, nos encontramos con una fisura en el cuadro, así que tocó soldar y pulir la soldadura.

En cuanto al resto de piezas a rescatar, podemos decir que nos hemos encontrado con lo que ya estamos acostumbrados, mucho óxido y polvo acumulado a lo largo de muchos años. Como siempre, muchas horas de trabajo y paciencia.

Tuvimos que pedir piezas para el sistema de freno de varillas al recibir la bicicleta sin parte de ellos, y también tuvimos que fabricar y adaptar nuestras propias piezas.

El resultado habla por si solo. Ahora a rodar!

Finally we are going ahead with more projects underway. This time we want to show you the restoration and customization of an Orbea of rods has given us more than one headache.

It has been a challenge due to the great process of cleaning and polishing of their parts. Also a small problem arose, once we got to remove the different layers of enamel that had been used to give that touch of safari, we find a crack in the box, so he played welding and polishing the welding.

As for the other parts to rescue, we can say that we found what we already are used, much rust and dust accumulated over many years. As always, many hours of work and patience.We had to order parts for the brake rod system to receive the bicycle without part of them, and also had to fabricate and fit our own parts.
